HIFU technology, or high-intensity focused ultrasound, works like a magnifying glass that focuses the sun's rays on a specific point to produce heat. Instead of light, HIFU uses sound waves that cannot be heard by the human ear. These sound waves are concentrated very precisely on a specific area beneath the skin's surface.
When these sound waves reach the targeted point beneath the skin, they create a small amount of heat. This heat does not injure the skin surface, but acts deeply beneath the skin. This triggers a natural process that stimulates the production of collagen.
This technique combines three synergistic actions to maximize its effectiveness:
- Effect Mécanique: Sound vibrations induce contraction of collagen fibers and stimulate their renewal by fibroblasts.
- Cavitation effect: Ultrasonic vibration causes pressure changes that promote skin tissue reorganization.
- Thermal effect: The conversion of ultrasonic energy into heat contributes to firming and improving skin texture.
