Why are bio-cellulose masks much more effective than sheet masks?

...
Invented by the Egyptians almost 2,000 years ago, the serum-soaked cloth mask has now been replaced by a scientifically far more effective competitor: the bio-cellulose mask. By being completely organic and adhering 100% to your skin, the bio-cellulose mask has become the premium mask containing the most advanced skincare technology.

For the launch of Celestetic's brand new bio-cellulose Cel.Mask, we took a look at all the benefits of this new must-have!

What is a bio-cellulose mask and when should it be used?

Bio-cellulose is an organic material produced by a fermentation process that allows amino acids to weave thin sheets of natural fibres. Originally developed by German scientists to relieve burns, this mask is now used for cosmetic purposes and is always associated with a "second skin" effect.

The bio-cellulose mask can be applied once or twice a week to dry and sensitive skin that is itchy or tight, or to more mature skin to prevent the appearance of wrinkles.

Sometimes used on its own, it is however strongly recommended to apply this mask after an exfoliating treatment so that the skin is ready to absorb all its active ingredients. By providing intense hydration to the skin, this mask is also the best ally of beauty salons to finish a treatment that has worked in depth on the skin barrier, as in the case of peels, microneedling or laser.

Why is this mask revolutionary?

  1. A translucent but highly concentrated "second skin" mask

  1. Short break time but long-lasting hydration

  1. In perfect combination with LED!

  1. Biodegradable and reusable for a different use

Unlike normal non-biodegradable masks, bio-cellulose masks, such as the Celestetic Mask, degrade completely after a few weeks. However, after using the mask for your face, and before returning it to Mother Nature, do not hesitate to recover the last active ingredients concentrated in it by soaking it in a small quantity of water. Then use this water to treat your hands or feet! Wouldn't it be silly to waste a drop?

Key ingredients of the Cel.Mask bio-cellulose mask

Each bio-cellulose mask contains different active ingredients. At Celestetic, we are completely transparent about the composition of our products, which is why we wanted to share with you the 4 main functional ingredients contained in our mask that work in synergy:

  • 5% Peptides - split between Acetyl Decapeptide 3, a restorative anti-wrinkle that increases skin elasticity, enhances cell growth and improves healing, and Acetyl Heptapeptide 4, a protective anti-wrinkle that strengthens the skin's moisture barrier.
  • 3% Probiotic Complex - obtained through a fermentation process, this solution rich in essential minerals is a mixture of zinc, iron, silicon, copper and magnesium. Without these minerals, the vitamins could not be properly absorbed by the skin!
  • 0,8% Hyaluronic Acid - helps to keep the skin hydrated and regenerate its tissues. It increases the skin's elasticity, suppleness and softness. The skin is thus more resilient against external aggressions and strengthened to combat dehydration wrinkles.
  • 0,1% Resveratrol - a very powerful antioxidant that can penetrate the skin barrier to slow and fight ageing by protecting cells from damage. In addition, it reduces redness due to its skin calming properties.
